1. Play with Pattern

Tile gives you an almost limitless palette of ideas when it comes to patterns. There’s no need to stick with the traditional subway tile or penny tile patterns. Let your imagination run free, like I did in my Kensington bathroom above. Those Ann Sacks tiles offer waves of originality!

2. Experiment with Color

The colors in the tile floor I designed above are unexpected with the bold yellow paint in the room, but it works perfectly! Mixing and matching colors can give you a standout design for your home!

3. Try Unique Materials

Stone is no longer the only material for tile. In the bold laundry room above, I used concrete tile. And glass tile is what gives the bathroom above its unique sparkle. Each material brings something different to the style of tile.

4. Dream Up a New Idea

In the bathroom above, I wanted a unique piece of art over the tub that could withstand all the moisture and heat in the room. So I used a wave-patterned tile to craft an original piece of art! When you’re dreaming of unique ideas for your home, think about how tile can fit into the concept!
