Romancing the Room

With Valentine’s Day this week, romance is on our minds. There are so many ways to bring romance into each room of your home, and it isn’t just about the color red! It’s my job to create stunning rooms that my clients fall in love with, so here are my top tips for romancing the rooms in your home!

1. Color

Color is so important in a room and it can create any sort of mood. Of course we all associate red and pink with Valentine’s Day, but other colors can be just as romantic. I love using a soft blue to bring calm and quiet to a space. It makes people happy and upbeat, and that is the very best of a romantic feeling!

2. Shape

Studies have shown that soft curves in a room make people feel better than sharp angles. They are comforting and feminine, offering a sinuous shape that intrigues and captures your eye. It’s basically love at first sight!

3. Texture

We are very tactile creatures, and we love things that are soft to the touch. Bringing those comforting textures into a room helps soothe and calm everyone who enters. So be sure that your rooms offer those fabulous textures we all love.

4. Florals

Flowers are definitely a love language for so many of us, whether that’s fresh flowers or just motifs on wallpaper or art. Fill your rooms with flowers and greenery to add beauty and a sense of freshness!
