What I'm Thankful For

I tell myself almost every day how lucky I am, but this time of year is special because it reminds us to express how thankful we are to others who have impacted our lives. My biggest support, and the person I’m most thankful for, is my husband Mark. This is a photo of him with my gorgeous niece Merry Grace at her wedding!

He is my number-one cheerleader and the one who is first to celebrate any win I have in my life or business. He even shares every one of my posts about trends and interior design projects on his own social media accounts!

I’m also very thankful for my parents. My mom is also my friend and a fantastic traveling partner. I treasure our trips to the beach every year! She and my dad both are so supportive, and they’ve been an amazing influence and inspiration in my life.

This has been a year of rebuilding at my home. We’ve started construction on our house after Hurricane Harvey, and I’ve been so lucky to have vendors who have been super-supportive. Many thanks have to go out to Walker Zanger for tile and countertops; Tom Ancy of Core Decorative Watermark, Hansgrohe, DVX, Rocky Mountain Hardware, THG to name a few; Jose Gonzales and Suly Weisman, of BSH Corporation, Gaggenau, Thermador, Bosch; David Karson and Carlton Hereford, of Builders First Source; and Jimmy Keathley owner of James Craig Furnishings!

And I’m so happy to be working with architect Carlo DiNunzio! He says: "Sometimes a sketch is all you need." His unique service, called Cocktail Napkin Architecture, makes working with an architect accessible to people who are not adding additional square footage. He’s amazing and I have appreciated him so much during this process!

And of course I’m thankful for incredible clients who invite me into their homes and let me be a part of creating beauty in their lives. I appreciate every one of them!

So what are you thankful for this Thanksgiving? Let me know! And I wish you and your family a very happy holiday!
