Yes, I know it’s only October. But getting your home holiday ready is something that takes planning. Too often, people come to me and other designers and expect a miracle before Thanksgiving. Remember that ordering furnishings and getting painters scheduled takes time! It’s already too late for some items, so be sure you’re giving yourself enough time to really let your holiday parties shine.

One of the first considerations you’ll want to make for updating your decor for the holidays is seating, both around the dining table and in the living areas. If you’re feeling a little short-handed when it comes to adequate places for your guests to relax, take inventory to determine what additional chairs you need. Maybe it’s even time for a full dining room update - something that will set the stage for a gorgeous get-together.
