Inspiration: It's All White

Last week, I wrote about the anticipated 2016 Pantone Color of the Year. This week, my focus is on Benjamin Moore. After months of research and trend shows, Benjamin Moore named its color of the year for 2016: Simply White.

Pristine white can be a powerful design element. Think about everything it can do, from showcasing shadows to serving as the perfect backdrop for pops of color to helping us appreciate a shape or form itself. White defines space in a very beautiful and sophisticated way.

White is such an inspiring color – and yes, it is a color. Use white to visually de-clutter a room, to create the illusion of more height and better light, and to bring unexpected dimension by layering it with other shades of white and cream. For white, the old adage is true: less is more - way, way more. Create your own white out this winter!
